Bible and Veda
Jesus died for us that we may go from darkness to light. But we must believe in Jesus, trust in him with all our heart, for Jesus death on the cross to count for us.
Does this make sense to you?
The Bible asks, "What fellowship can light have with darkness?"
Either we will live in the darkness or we will choose the light. To live in the light we must all turn from the darkness with its evil lifestyle and choose to walk in the light of Jesus.
Would you like to experience this light right now?
You can receive Jesus right now and experience the sin-destroying light and union with God in your life right now.
Oh Creator God, I know that you desire for me to have union with you and walk in the light. I acknowledge right now I am walking in darkness because of my sins. I am sorry for these wrongs, and now I want to turn away from walking in darkness and from my past sinful life. Please forgive me, and lead me from walking in darkness to light. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive. I invite Jesus to come into my heart to be my true light and to guide my intellect in the right direction and be the Lord of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
If you sincerely prayed this prayer you have union with God through Jesus Christ and you have received the sin-destroying light.
You want to continue to walk in the light. One way you can do this is to start by reading the Bible. Also you should share with your friends and family that you have received the Light of the World, Jesus Christ.

Note:
The roots of the Gayatri Mantra go all the way back to ancient Hindu text the Rig Veda (iii, 62, 10) which was written in Sanskrit about 2500 to 3500 years ago. The Gayatri mantra is found in all the four Vedas.

Like you I have an inner longing for peace and truth. I have been reading the ancient Hindu Mantra, the Gayatri Mantra and I have found the light that all seekers of truth desire. May I share with you what I have discovered?
I am impressed with the Gayatri Mantra because the Gayatri Mantra is one of the oldest and most highly revered mantras in Hinduism.
Gayatri MantraOh God! You are the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive your supreme sin-destroying light,
May you guide our intellect in the right direction.
Our common desire is to really know God, and we desire union with Creator God. I have found how we can receive this supreme sin-destroying light. I have experienced this!
In the ancient times wise men, seekers of the truth from the east followed an ancient star in quest for divine awakening of the mind and soul. They were led to Jesus. Jesus is the supreme sin-destroying light.
In the Bible we find:
John 1:1-9 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. There was a man sent from God; his name was John. This one came as a witness, to bear witness concerning the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.
God desires to give true light to all men
This passage in the Bible speaks of Jesus. He was and is the true Light and God’s desire is for each of us to have the sin-destroying light of Jesus Christ.
John bore witness to the light. His role was like the role of the Guru. The guru points the way from darkness to light. The meaning of guru is Gu-darkness, Ru-light, the one who leads you from darkness to light. The ancient Rishis (holy men) would have no problem believing that Jesus fulfilled this longing for supreme sin-destroying light. This is what they were waiting for, the sin-destroying light of Jesus.
We all need the sin-destroying light.
Why do we need a sin-destroying light? It is because we have sin in our life. This same sin problem mentioned in the Gayatri mantra is confirmed in the Bible. In Rom 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
You may have made a promise to your mother and not kept that promise. That is sin that separates us from God. We all need a sin-destroying light because we all sin. Our sin will keep us from a relationship with God.
God is holy and punishes sin and his punishment for sin is death. Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We need a sin-destroying light because we are walking in darkness. John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
God’s sin-destroying light comes through the death of Jesus Christ.
Jesus took on that death we deserve when he died on the cross for us. Jesus died on the cross to take us from darkness to light.
2Co 4:6 For it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine;" who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Jesus conquered darkness, sin and death through his resurrection. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who believes in Me, though he die, yet he shall live.
We receive God’s light by Believing in Jesus
God calls us to believe in Jesus to have God’s light.
Jesus Said, John 12:46 I have come as a Light into the world, so that whoever believes on Me should not remain in darkness.
John 12:36 While you have the Light, believe in the Light so that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things and departed.
